Contamination prevention starts at the breeder farm where contamination can be transmitted to the hatching egg via the nest or the hen. Collect information about egg quality.

When looking at egg quality, pay attention to:

• The nest hygiene on the breeder farm  

• The presence of floor eggs in a batch 

• The health of the breeders
