‘No touch’ chick separation

Chicks are no longer processed through a central point. All chicks remain in their hatching baskets. Most of the egg shells and unhatched eggs remain in the upper tray, which is automatically taken from the crate. This minimizes stress and reduces the potential risk of cross-contamination. 

‘Stress-free’ chick counting

The number of unhatched eggs is counted, instead of the number of hatched chicks. The number of unhatched eggs is displayed at the quality control station where a worker will refill the required number of premium chicks, while he also checks for chick quality.
