Six support points

The HT 88 Setter Tray has six support points. This gives secure support to small eggs and prevents cracks in eggs of all sizes – a problem which can occur when eggs are transported from breeder farms to hatcheries.

Honeycumb structure

The patented honeycomb structure of the grid makes it possible to house 4,725 eggs per m². This is more than any other tray currently on the market.

No sagging

The HT 88 Setter Tray is made out of a durable, high-quality material. Thanks to the stiffness of the material, the tray has high dimensional stability and will never sag when loaded. This helps to prevent cracks developing in eggs, and prolongs the tray’s lifespan.

Designed for uniform air flow 

In the HT 88 Setter Tray, the egg is cradled by six support points which hold the eggs higher up in the tray. Together with the four curved sides of the housing, this exposes the maximum amount of the egg’s surface to air flow. The result is that the transfer of heating and cooling air to the eggs is more efficient, ensuring perfect control of the embryo temperature.

Easy to handle

The user-friendly design of our 88 Setter Tray makes it easy for hatchery personnel to handle. The tray does not have sharp edges, which can hurt hands or damage eggs. The tray also has stacking ridges that makes it easy to securely stack and store them.

Perfect for in ovo injection

The dimensional stability and extra support points prevent eggs from rolling, and keeps even small eggs securely in place. That makes the HT 88 Setter Tray ideal for high speed in ovo injection. Eggs don’t extend below and stay secure. The needle will enter the correct location in every egg, resulting in a 15% faster automation process.

Perfect for automation

In automated processes, there’s no need to make sure the proper side goes in first. The HT 88 Setter Tray has the same number of egg spaces on both sides of the tray.

One tray fits all!

The HT 88 Setter Tray is suitable for eggs of all sizes (between 40g and 75g). The smallest eggs nestle securely against the support points underneath the tray, while the four curved sides of the housing give large eggs extra stability and keep them from coming into contact with each other. In this way, air flow between even the largest eggs is maintained.
