The Golden Rules to Succesful Incubation

All embryos have the same requirements for optimal hatching and chick quality. When these requirements are met, all flocks produce the same viability and quality of chicks. It is the interaction between the machine and the embryos that determines if these requirements are met. This is accomplished with adequate equipment design, management and egg quality.

There are 5 'Golden Rules' for successful incubation:

• Correct and uniform embryo temperature
• Correct and uniform egg weight loss
• Minimized contamination
• Turning
• Maintained control of the equipment
