Dirty hatcher

During the incubation process micro-organisms spread throughout the hatcher. To guarantee protection for vulnerable chicks from being exposed to bacteria and viruses, it is essential to properly clean the machine after use.

Manual cleaning 

The first step is to sweep and hose the hatcher. In common daily practice, this is the only cleaning an incubator gets. Unfortunately this is not enough, due to the possibility of human error and resistance to standard disinfection chemicals, not all bacteria are killed during manual sanitation.

Activate UMS™

At HatchTech we take it a step further. HatchTech is the only manufacturer that provides an advanced cleaning program that automatically cleans and dries the incubator, leaving it perfectly disinfected for the next set. The UMS™ program is easily accessible and can be activated via the MicroClimer Controller.

Heat disinfection 

The machine heats up to 120°F to kill micro-organisms that are susceptive to temperature. The heat completely dries the hatcher, preventing the development of humid areas where bacteria can flourish.

Disinfectant  

Any disinfectant is used to kill the micro-organisms that are resistant to heat. The laminar airflow spreads the disinfectant throughout the machine to effectively kill the micro-organisms.

Finishing  

After the disinfection phase is completed, the program gradually decreases to operating temperature, and the machine stops automatically.

Clean & dry hatcher 

Within an average time of 1.5 hours the UMS™ program leaves you an entirely clean and dry incubator, ready for the next set.
