Optimum embryo temperature 

As incubators become larger, creating identical conditions throughout the machine is becoming more difficult. Air temperature, air velocity and air humidity are all crucial factors. The challenge is to tailor the conditions to suit each stage of the incubation process.

HatchTech has the answer, thanks to its Laminar Airflow technique where air is gradually distributed and optimised section by section. This ensures that conditions are uniform throughout the unit and prevents fluctuations in embryo temperature - guaranteeing lower mortality and superior chick quality.   

Non-uniform temperature

HatchTech conducted research into the influence of higher temperatures (102.02 versus 100.04 °F) on chick quality. Hatchling development was measured using the yolk-free body mass (YFBM).  The YFBM of layer hatchlings incubated at the high eggshell temperature was 37.7 g and 0.7 g lower compared with layer hatchlings incubated at a normal eggshell temperature.
